I was lucky enough to be invited out for a friend's birthday recently, and this is one of her favorite restaurants. It actually has a good vibe to it. Luckily, I'm not reviewing the service on this site, because it was rather subpar, but I am here to review beer.
Troll Way IPA 7% ABV 75 IBU
Troll Way is a bitter and balanced west coast IPA, brewed by Insight Brewing in Minneapolis. It has notes of grapefruit, peach, and lemon in it.
The verdict: I think "bitter and balanced" is a good way to describe this beer. Despite the high IBU, it didn't taste too hoppy. It is really balanced, all things considered. Of the fruit notes, I tasted more lemon than anything. It went down well. I enjoyed this beer.
