Trying to find a good porter in a can is something that can be difficult for me. Personally, I prefer having porters at the taproom on nitro, because the smoothness gives it something extra that makes me enjoy them more. Lately, I've been on a bit of a porter kick, and have been trying to find something in a can that I can drink on a regular basis. And trying to find a chocolate peanut butter porter that actually tastes something like one has been difficult.
Waconia Brewing Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter 6.4% ABV 24 IBU
This beer has won awards from the Best of Craft Beer awards, so it makes total sense as to why I liked it so much. It actually tasted like I was drinking a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, and it didn't have a bitter after taste, which can't be said for many of the chocolate peanut butter porters I've had in the past.
The Verdict
This is the best chocolate peanut butter I've ever had. I highly recommend this beer. It's actually good enough where you can have more than one, and it's not going to mess with you. Go pick this up, if you haven't had it yet. You won't be disappointed.
