Wooden Hill Brewing Company

Tucked away in a business complex just across the border from Bloomington in Edina, Wooden Hill Brewing serves it's patrons a wide variety of beer and food. Not only can you get your various selection of beers, but you can get everything from appetizers to pizza to hot dogs, and everything in between. Ordering the food was easy, as you order at the same time you order the beer.

The Vibe

Wooden Hill is made for large groups to gather, with large tables and booths that can sit up to eight people inside. They also have a patio with large picnic tables, and the patio is also dog friendly. One of the cool quirks that you don't see at many breweries is that they are tech savvy, as they have ports at every booth so you can charge your phone if you need to, or do work on your laptop. The color scheme on the inside is very bright and warming.

What to Drink

.

Will- my recommendation is their Code 3 IPA. It's a triple hopped IPA, with Citra, Cascade, and Mosaic hops. It's a juicy IPA that doesn't taste very hoppy, and, at 6.5% ABV, you can have more than one. If you're an IPA person, this one is a must drink.

Sami- my recommendation is their Mango Strut sour. It was a great refreshing beer for summer. Even though it was tart, it's something you can have more than one of. There are bright flavors of mango, but not overly sweet. For being a sour beer, it was clean.

The Verdict

Wooden Hill has a lot going for them. They're in a location where there isn't much competition from other breweries. They have a great layout. They have a lot of beer options, and if you want a crowler to take home, they have multiple coolers filled with them. While there isn't a lot of parking available in their lot, there is a lot of street parking around it. If you're in the area, we recommend stopping by.
